Tonfanau
Tonfanau
A brilliant days racing in glorious sunshine. However it was somewhat spoiled by lack of sidecars, with only 4 outfits entered. All 3 were won by Craig and Kirsty Hauxwell with Chris wade/Paul Hauxwell second followed home by Marianne Walford and Claire Duplock, Whilst Terry And Rebecca Howswe had a mare of a day with 1 dnf and 2 dns. The programme had a pic of team Past it on the front as they were of course regular visitors and indeed former champions. Although a bit out of the way tonfanau is a great little circuit and you will get 2x practices and3 races for your money so lets get some entries for may 26th it would be sad to lose this as a venue.

Re: Tonfanau
Yes, just what I was going to say! It was a great pity that Tonfanau seems to be unlucky for Terry and Becky Howse, as we were looking forward to a good race with them. (Sorry I cut you off into the hairpin, Terry).
Kirsty H must have enjoyed herself, getting three wins, and it was a bit of a surprise to realise that there were equal numbers of girls/women as men in the sidecar class (four of each!)
If you are looking for upgrade signatures, Tonfanau is a good meeting to do. The club are a friendly bunch, and if you need to hire a transponder, it is cheaper than elsewhere too (ten or fifteen quid). It's only £90 for the two practices and three races.
The attitude is helpful, so particularly if you are new to racing, you will get advice not criticism. For instance, last year when two of us didn't know we had to have rain lights, and it was a damp day, the CoC and scrutineer went and asked all the other sidecars if they were happy to allow us out. (They were!)
Dates are 26th May, 7th July and 25th August.
