Wtd: cheap convenient place to sleep near Gatwick Jun 8th

On my way home from the TT I need to overnight near Gatwick on June 8th. Any suggestions?

I arrive from IOM mid-day on the 8th (need to dig up my Flybe itinerary to confirm exact time) and need to be back at Gatwick for 7:40am the following morning.

Travelodge have two places at Gatwick and they are usually a reasonable price if booked in advance
There's a Holiday Express there too which is another one that's a cheaper if you book early

Gatwick is on the first capital connect line so anywhere along there would be good as well. Train goes right into the airport.

There is a great Pikie camp just passed the 2nd lay by on the run in to Gatwick.

Thanks Eddy but I think I'll have had enough of sleeping on the ground in the paddock by then.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to pack everything I want/need for the trip in 2 bags (10kg carry on and 20kg checked).
