From what I remember it was virtually a flat chassis like a three wheeled kart with the engine behind Doug who sat in a bucket seat with his passenger at the back able to move around the platform. CoG was lower than a conventional outfit so cornering was quicker which is where the relative lack of power was minimised.
Don't suppose that anyone has pics of this machine
My dad has pictures of it, i'll see i he can scan them
doug raced at lydden in mid 90's on a homebuilt outfit with two cr500 moto cross engines joined with about 16 foot of chain, tony fitz passengered it once and then he turned up passengerless and someone went out on it, the headstock snapped off on the bottom straight and it piled into the tyres at the elbow but luckily resulted in a broken leg for the passenger
[ found this place after searching for info. about Rudi Kurth and now I would like to know about an even vaguer memory of mine.
At the time that Owen Greenwood had his Mini I think I remember a guy called Jon Worthington racing a tandem seat outfit with a Triumph twin engine(that may have been behind the passenger) called a Scitsu.
Does anyone have any information please?

Yes( i ) Phil Biggadyke do still have the Jon Worthington "Scitsu". was close to getting it recomisioned for the Festival this year but time as per normal beat me but maybe next year.!! It has not turned a wheel since the festival maybe 4/5 years ago i can't remember. The only reason i stopped racing it was the lack of classes allowing it to be raced in, Classic Club (no methanol) BHR put all the B3's together and a little 650 cant cope with the "might" of the big morgans and 1275 mini things. It's a pleasure to drive and own such a piece of Britsh (threewheeler) history, those that know Jon will understand that bit. Jon now lives in France and still occasionally races his beloved 250 Velo and his Triumph twin cooper car type thing. Will atempt to post photos, not to good on this but hey ho.
If it's a problem posting Phil send to steve@steveenglish.com and I'll do the necessary.
