Novice female passenger - Prep

Hello all,

I'm a female biker - riding for 5/6 years. Currently on an MT 03 (660cc) on the roads.

Been hooked on sidecar racing since I saw them for the first time at Brands BSB years back and decided this is the year I'm going to follow my dream of being a passenger.

I'm 30 years old
5"4"
55kg
Based in Brighton

Just getting my head around what I need to get on track and any guidance on this would be appreciated. Couldn't see any posts about this.

- Applying for my ACU passenger license
- In the market for some second-hand leathers (size S) and boots (size 4 - I know!).
- Know I need to apply for a Club and not to sure how to find ones local to me
- Gonna get some dog tags and assume ACU will let me know what needs to be inscribed on them

Anything else?

I'm keen to get some experience and tips on technique. Seen taxi rides might be possible to book and wondering if there are other ways to have a go around a track with some coaching or feedback before/after.

Looking forward to getting stuck into this brand new world!

:D :D Hi ya. So front exit is classic stuff. Out the front of the bike for lefts and similar to f2 and f1 sidecars at Bsb for the rights. I’m not the driver. I have a chap who has an immaculate bike bmw so fast. He is experienced solo new to sidecars and just needs someone who can commit to the season racing uk circuits with crmc and British historic racing. I have put a picture on of the classic I race on. It’s a great paddock full of character and plenty of people to help. I can give you johns number who is the driver to discuss more. It will be a great starting block for you to get rid of your novice bib and you can both learn together.

Tried to send privately but there not sending

Anyway test day Friday 18th March mallory park come have a look show ya round one see what it’s about. Cannot promise but may get you out on one if you have your gear. Best way to explain the crack

Thanks for the information Jayne and gutted I can't get up to Mallory this week. Doing my CTC online on Thursday and still need to do my eye test for the license. Should have leathers and rest of my gear by end of next week.

Is there another test day or opportunity to come and meet you and John?
