Got a new toy

Unread post by steve-e »

Bought myself a new toy. It passed its MOT today so hopefully tomorrow I'll go pick it up from Mum's house and ride it back to Kent.

The bromptons and roadbikes have names..
Bertie Brompton
Bessie Brompton
Barney Ribble.
I did order a hybrid but I'm told a week later they're now out of stock so it looks lke that'll be changing to a mountain bike..

AND>>>>
Blackbird? What sort of name?

There is already Hilda the Honda in Scotland with Annette, Steve, so you couldn't have that name again anyway. How about Harry, or if you want a Japanese name there is Hiro. Hmm, on second thoughts Hirohito is famous for leading a humiliating defeat  .........then again though

For info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiro_(giv ... given,1948)%2C%20Japanese%20painter%2Fartist

It all depends on whether you consider the bike to be male or female 🤔. You will probably find out when you ride it.

Call it Harry and it might make you distance yourself from your family ( birth and sidecar) and emigrate .

Call it Hetty because it will hoover up the miles, your worries and cares, your cash.........🤔 Why not just call it Deb, Debs or Debbie then and have done with it

If you are wanting to stick to names beginning with the letter B then what about Betty the Blackbird (Black Betty)? An alternative to Hetty the Honda.

Some decisions in life are so difficult Steve [brick.gif]

Whoa, Black Betty (Bam-ba-lam)
Whoa, Black Betty (Bam-ba-lam)
She really gets me high (Bam-ba-lam)
You know that's no lie (Bam-ba-lam)
She's so rock steady (Bam-ba-lam)
And she's always ready (Bam-ba-lam)
