Re: TZ350 and the classic club

RE: The Pre TT classic, I don't think it's likely TZ350's would be allowed looking at the regs: Sidecars must comply with the ACU standing regulations. To be eligible, they must be of the ‘front exit’ type construction. Specific attention is drawn to engine eligibility, as follows. i) 1st January 19...

Re: This will go in post your photos later...

I've just spoken to my dad; he says the bloke on the picture is nowhere near as good looking as him ! He is sure it is Claude Jerimiah Greengrass or John Hartell, with Steve Abbott and Simon Christie.

John; no it's not Howard, I'm unsure of even where that photo is taken to be honest.

Re: Konig

I'm still on the lookout for anything Konig related; motors, spares, anything. I thought there would have been lots of them getting in the way in garages and sheds.

I reckon it's certainly possible. Perhaps even more. I'm not sure that Ebay is where I would sell such a prestigious piece of machinery though !

Re: This is simply gorgeous..............

Don't know about the reserve, but I reckon it's worth three to four times that amount if the information is genuine and the bike is as good as it looks in those photographs. It will be interesting to see what it goes for and whether it meets the reserve.

Re: sidenet

No problems, hope you found what you was looking for on there.

Perhaps though it would be beneficial if possible to delete sidenet or at least change the front page and use it simply as an archive, those results from Castle Combe 2005 are a tad out of date now !

It's working just now, but obviously it's still not updated (I don't think there are any active admin people on there) . And the forums are completely blocked solid with sordid spam messages, so avoid them !

Re: pictures from Spa,

My father is building a replica of the Konig outfit he raced in the 1970's, to race next season, and is keen to source and buy any Konig engines or parts anyone may have for sale. Contact Howard Langham anytime (send me a P.M. for contact details). Thanks.

Re: pictures from Spa,

Does anyone know of any Konig motors / parts lying about doing nothing under benches etc ? There were a good few back in the day, but none seem to be about now.

Re: pictures from Spa,

It looks like a Kim Newcombe replica Konig. They also made the motors in 680cc and 750cc too. They were definately developed from a marine engine, I believe they raced hydrofoils using various Konig motors. There were apparently a lot of them about in the 1970's in sidecar racing before the TZ's too...

Re: Frank Wrathall

We sold it to the Andrews brothers from York, they had a bad smash on the mountain at the TT, it then had a 350 slotted in, and i think it ended up with N Smith putting a Ducati V twin in. Don`t know any more than that. Was speaking to Mal Andrews the other day. The outfit was straightened after th...
