Wasn't Jeff Haynes on with Stu in 96, I remember flying home with John, Caz, a young Muck and Christine Haynes. Arriving back at Heathrow to have Christine being told Jeff was in hospital. I flew back with her the next morning. I was changing jobs in 96 so I knew I had the time to fly back.

Rather than using a motorcycle battery have you tried a car battery instead? Might be the fact the battery is not a high enough amp/hour rating.
