how about go view the bike where it is then get them to bring across the water as if they were coming to compete then buy from here This will only work if they don't need a Carnet when they bring the bike over in the first place. Depends where you're buying it from. If an EU country then no import duty due, but VAT will be payable on the cost of the item plus any shipping charges. As its not a vehicle which will be registered, I don't think NOVA will apply. Be prepared potentially for a lot of paperwork, but then again, that...

Off topic, but as a small business owner who has imported mainly from Germany since 1995, it's almost certainly made my mind up to retire earlier than I had planned.

Dreadful new TT website / Twatter messages, made me think the sidecar practice was binned-off!

Now scheduled for 20:10 this evening.
