Just out of interest (excuse my possible ignorance) why are sidecar outfits rarely entered with the full chassis/engine details?

As part of a massive project I’ve managed to log almost all the podium finishing outfits since 1975 by chassis/engines but it has taken some time.

I've tried Bill but sadly he said he could only help for the years the results books were produced, 1984-2009. I know he isn't in the best of health so don’t want to press him too much for information.

Hi John, I can tell you the fastest sector times from this years 2 races which were overall lap records but sadly not having access to the sector times from the last few years I cant say for sure if they are the fastest ever sectors.

Given the Birchall's pace I would imagine they set fastest ever ...

Hi, Could anyone confirm if today's sector times were new records. I imagine given the Birchall's pace they probably would be but i cant find the previous fastest.
The fastest solo sector times are easily available online but not the sidecars.

Also have another a quick question regarding Greg Lambert's 2003 entry, he is listed as being on a "Molyneux" chassis where as other riders (Moly, Geoff Bell, Tony Thirkell) were all using DMR chassis.

Am I correct in assuming a Molyneux and a DMR were the same thing?

Hi all, firstly thank you for all your help regarding my sidecar chassis/engine TT project. I am so close to having this complete now.
The remaining sticking point seems to be with the late great Dave Saville.

Most of the time he is listed as using a "Sabre" machine which I only recently ...

Also have a question regarding Ian Bell's 1997 and 1999 entries. He is listed as using a Bell Yamaha.

Was this is own chassis or was he uaing something else like a DMR/Ireson etc with "Bell" just being an entrant name?
