and more to add to chris's post, that carbed ireson lapped at over 100mph with the old man on it, imagine if it had 2 normal sized people! carbed engines lapped at well ovwe 110mph, it is a strange rule imho, which is irrelevent, as i also agree with Karl, im not racing so i dont really have a say ...

well, will be interesting, am I right in saying that tim reeves has said he thinks he can break the lap record with a tuned motor? I know many people will struggle against the real good engines, but if tim is right the speeds should be awsome

am i right in thinking that he was unable to practice because the manx norton was a prototype and had issues?? if that was the case, padix am i right??, then having a fair ruling on not being able to continue is, imho, one that has fulfilled its promise. Without those guys there is no tt!! We will always need the 'names' but there's only what, 10-15 BIG solo names, handful of sidecars, that doesn't make for a good 'festival' imho

I know the tt has moved on since dad competed, but I just feel they are trying to run it like a 'short circuit' meeting, IMHO. I also know safety etc has been improved.
