From what I understand it was that influential people who did not like some of the 'home truths' (not abuse) about the way things were being run, so they decided to pressure on to get rid of a very useful forum.

With all the recent excitement and sidecar publicity concerning the possibility of Michael Dunlop racing one, it would be nice to remember that TT2012 will mark 50 years since Chris Vincent and passenger Eric Bliss won the TT on the BSA outfit.

Just got back from the 1135 showing of the film, and what a film it was! only 7 of us there, it really needs more publicity, my only downside was the lack of sidecar action.

the money should be put towards the riders and teams that race and finish races(even to the last place riders...).
Be fair Matt, Someone racing on a shoestring budget may have put all his/her effort into getting over and competing and may have a fortnight of bad luck and not finished, you were ...

You are right in some ways Dave but I think that those 'getting paid' for the TT should cover all classes. All classes? hope you don't mean solos?
Certainly a 'Sidecar Day' would raise the profile of chairs and I'm sure that a number of teams would support it too. What about 'taxi rides' at Jurby ...

I don't know exactly who you are referring to when you say about the 'big' names and expenses, I can only assume its Reeves, Klaffi. Moly and last year the Birchalls.
We do need these crews as long as others do not suffer because of the expenses paid. Once upon a time, they probably also struggled ...
