The 2016 TT regs also allow the overall width to increase by 300mm, whilst keeping the track dimensions as they are in ACU regs.

It seems that the TT rules have completely dropped the rules regarding covering the rear wheel by the seat, so they can be like F1 LCRs. The auxilliary brake on an F2 came from the original F2 rules, when the ACU thought it might be prudent to have two separate brake systems, so if one failed you could slow down with the other system. Where it went wrong was with people making the auxilliary system good enough to pass scrutineering, ...
