Re: yokohama tyres

You are right Jason. This was discussed at length at the AGM about 3 years ago. They have been allowed on the P4 bikes though.

Sorry Mike, highjacking your thread here.

Re: yokohama tyres

Hi Mike, It's the AO48R. I would guess the 175/60/13. Think the contact patch is about 6" although there has been some arguing about that. I think the P4 machines can run them. The Roeberry's did. Last time I looked they were not allowed on the P3 bikes. Would have to check with Ian now. Martin...

Re: For those with deep pockets

As it's 1976 I think it could run P4. Might fall foul of the 'too damn ugly' rule though.

Re: Why would you do this to the rules? British F1

Put everyone on the same chassis and make all the engines standard that should make the racing closer and let the talent shine through.
I've heard that somewhere before.

Keith/John,

That's right. I asked for someone to explain the reason why. Craig answered that question.

Like you, I don't think its the right decision.

Re: Why would you do this to the rules? British F1

It seems mad to me but I would like to know why. There must be a justification that we are not aware of.

In a reply to Tim's post someone has suggested that several world championship teams were thinking of racing in the British series this year. Is it to stop the demise of the world championship?

Re: CRMC

Ian is no longer the chairman. The committee voted him out after the AGM yesterday. Too popular with the members allegedly.

I think its a disgrace.

Re: Starting off in F2

Hi Scott and welcome. I would look at which club you are most likely to race with and see how many F1 and F2 outfits normally race with them. If they only have one or two F1's and lots of F2's I would go for an F2. If you fancy a classic then there's many different classes to try. Good luck with you...
