Yet another load of nonsense.
The flag signals worked well in the past when:
motionless yellow - something has happened but nothing on the track.
waved yellow - something has happened and there is something on the track.
Even I could understand that.

Hi Steve,
Many years ago Bill Cooper told me trail should be 0" to 1/8"
0" is a bit light and over 1/8" it starts to get a bit heavy.
Always worked for me.

You don't need special equipment to check the trail. Sit the bike on a flat floor and pack up under the chassis behind the front forks, without raising the height of the chassis. I have raced several Ireson chassis and never had a problem with heavy steering. If you need a steering damper there is something wrong with the chassis, Trevor has never fitted a damper. Check your trail, if it's more than 3mm maybe alterations to the chassis have altered the angle of the steering ...
