Sleaford F1 Sidecar Driver with Scottish passenger Jimmy Connell travelled to Assen in the Netherlands for the penultimate round of the British F1 Sidecar Championship on Sunday resulting an eighth place finish and eight championship points for the duo.
The weather affected the racing on Saturday and after qualifying well on the sixth row for the first race on Saturday Gary decided not to race as, with standing water in places on the track, he deemed the conditions too dangerous.

This might sound an odd request coming from someone usually as well prepared as Greg Lambert, but there is a very good reason for asking.
Greg has had his bike packed up and shipped on its way to New Zealand for the Tri Series over Christmas (good luck and enjoy that mate! )
As his bike is on its way already he does not have use of his machine for the upcoming Brands Hatch British Sidecars at BSB over the weekend of the 13-15th October, or the last round of the Road Race Championship at Cadwell Park 28-29 October- which he would like to compete in as he is scoring well so far this season in the series.
Do you have a competitive sidecar he could borrow for either or both of these meetings? He would be extremely grateful of course!
If you could help Greg please click read more for contact details.

Assen next up as season draws to close
- Details
- Written by Barry Nutley, photos from John Mushet
Known as the“Cathedral of Speed”, the famous Assen circuit in Holland is the destination for round nine of The Hyundai Heavy Industries British Sidecar Championship over the weekend of 29th September - 1st October.
The event welcomes two pairs of newly crowned champion brothers, in Tim and Tristan Reeves (Carl Cox Motorsport Kawsaki), who clinched the British title at the previous round at Cadwell, and Ben and Tom Birchall, 2017 FIM World Champions, after dominating that series on their Mitchells of Manfield 600cc Yamaha.
There will no lifting of the pedal however, as both crews are still on a mission with unfinished business.
The Reeves brothers intend to go the entire season with an unblemished record of wins, whilst the Birchalls have their eyes on the 600cc British Cup title to add to their FIM Gold medal.

Scarborough Double Win Makes Up For Mixed Fortunes In The British Championship For Team A.R.C.
- Details
- Written by Tim Langham / Photographs - Dirk Wharton
September has proved to be the busiest month of the year for Team A.R.C., during which time they have competed on four consecutive weekends. Lee Crawford and Scott Hardie won the inaugural "Marin Cup" (Scottish Sidecar Championship), with four F2 wins at the Jock Taylor Trophy meeting at Knockhill at the start of the month. They then completed their A.C.U. / F.S.R.A. British F2 Championship campaign with events at Mallory Park and Cadwell Park respectively. Finally, they rounded off in style with a brace of wins at Oliver's Mount, in a meeting which sadly concluded early owing to incidents in solo events. Team mates John and Jake Lowther competed only at Scarborough, themselves taking two podium positions to continue their impressive form at the seaside circuit.

Lee Crawford and Scott Hardie, of Team A.R.C., took a clean sweep of F2 wins at Knockhill on the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd September, landing them the inaugural "Marin Cup" title. However, they had no answer to the dominance of top British F1 team, Steve Kershaw / Stuart Clark, who were the overall winners in all four races, taking the prestigious "Jock Taylor Trophy" on home soil.
