The first full weekend in April sees three of the BEARs class sidecars taking to the famous ‘Mountain Course’!! This isn’t a TT event, more of a gentle cruse around those iconic roads that have seen so much history made, a chance to take a racing outfit through all those great photo opportunities!

If you would like to come and have a ride around the ‘Island of Dreams’ we will be arranging ‘Taxi Rides’ of various time lengths right up to a full lap which depending on traffic would be about an hour, not the twenty minutes that the TT bikes take but still a thrill in every way!

I’m sad to say that one of the sport’s longest serving competitors and enthusiast has had to retire from racing and withdraw all his involvement with immediate effect owing to his very serious illness. Dick has been admitted to residential care and is extremely unlikely to ever be well enough to return home.

We changed our minds on the opening time as a number of riders advised they struggle with online access during office hours.

You will be able to book up to the first four meetings. Those of you who do the first three meetings will be emailed by the system later and have a 2-day opportunity to book the fifth meeting at Donington before any other riders. This will ensure that riders who are focusing on their championships will be able to book in advance of any other rider looking to do a future meeting as a one off.

Sleaford sidecar racer Gary Horspole has announced he is to return to the Isle of Man to compete in the 2018 TT festival. He has teamed up with former passenger Rob Biggs to ride a brand new F2 outfit built by Dean Ryde.

It is several years since Horspole last took part in the two three lap Sidecar races on the 37.73 mile mountain roads course along where, with his long time passenger Kevin Leigh, he enjoyed success. The pair rode to seven top 10 finishes including a second place in 2000 and two third places in 1998 and 2002.
