Race One – from pole position, Andy Peach and Charlie Richardson were all set to fire the L&W Racing Kawasaki ahead, and did so on the run down to turn one. From second on the grid, Tim Reeves/Greg Cluze (Team E-Aide Motorsport Remse Yamaha) thundered behind and eventually alongside with a brave move at Becketts. Series leaders Ricky Stevens and Ryan Charlwood knew what they had to do and got stuck in behind Peach.

After fifteen hard races and eight rounds, the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit in Northamptonshire will see this fascinating series come to a head. AOS Be Wiser Kawasaki’s Ricky Stevens and Ryan Charlwood head for Silverstone with an eighty-two and a half point advantage over their nearest challengers Andy Peach/Charlie Richardson (L&W Racing Kawasaki). A further forty-two points back is the Express Tyres/Blinkbonny team of Steve Kershaw/Rob Wilson. The business-like pair from the Borders have been having their best season ever, truly being a thorn in the side of all the big name hopefuls. With double points on hand in the Grand Finale at Brands Hatch, Stevens knows the run in to the title will not be easy.

Riding the new 600cc Honda housed in an LCR Monocoque chassis, Mansfield sidecar racers Ben and Tom Birchall registered a fine second place in the Jock Taylor Memorial race at Knockhill on Sunday. The Mitchells of Mansfield supported pair also took part in Saturday's Sidecar race where they finished in third place.

It was only the second time riding the new outfit which has been built to 2016 world championship specifications and Ben was pleased with the lap times and the development of the bike.
