The third running of the hugely popular "Sidecar Bash" will once again be the focal point of the Auto 66 Club's traditional end of season "Bonanza" meeting, held over the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd October on the full circuit at Lincolnshire's Cadwell Park.
This meeting has fast become one of the highlights of the calendar, and is now the largest sidecar-orientated event in the U.K. in terms of entry numbers. In excess of seventy outfits were raced last year, and the ambition is to surpass those numbers this time around. Catering for all classes of three wheelers - from Scooters to F1 - there is sure to be a plethora of exotic and unusual machinery to interest all fans of the sport.
2015 saw a number of debuts from drivers and passengers, including none other than top solo racer Dean Harrison, and anticipation is growing with regards to "surprise" entries once again. Already confirming an appearance is Maria Costello MBE, fresh from a podium finish in the Senior Classic TT. Maria will be teaming up with British Championship regular Harry Payne to make her sidecar driving debut in the F2 class, which is sure to generate a lot of interest. Entries have already been received from a number of front-running F.S.R.A. teams, including Lee Crawford / Patrick Farrance, and newly crowned "Super 2 Sidecar Masters" champions Steve / Matty Ramsden. Further news will be made available closer to the event.
The meeting is also one which is renowned for its social gatherings, and the entertainment put on in previous years is also set to be repeated on the Saturday evening in the paddock.
