The final round of the A.C.U. / F.S.R.A. British Formula 2 Sidecar Championship took place at Oulton Park, and owing to circuit restrictions this was a one day only meeting with North Gloucester Road Racing on Saturday 6th October. With the top two places in the Super F2 Championship already decided - Peter Founds / Jevan Walmsley and Lee Crawford / Scott Hardie respectively - congratulations to both teams - third place was still for the taking with two teams tied, namely John and Jake Lowther and Steve and Matty Ramsden. Also to be decided was the F2 Cup with Daryl Gibson / Ashley Moore leading Ralph Remnant / Sam Tilley by thirty eight points.

Congratulations Daryl and Ash, 2018 FSRA F2 cup Sidecar Champions!

Excellent effort gentlemen!

Over the weekend of the 11th and 12th August the ACU/FSRA British Formula two sidecar championship made their way to the Leicestershire rural circuit of Donington Park for round five of eight with the host club North Gloucester Road Racing.

There was a ten minute morning warm up on Saturday and it was championship leaders Founds/Walmsley who laid down the gauntlet registering a time just two tenths outside their own lap record. Crawford/Hardie registerd the second quickest time some 1.8s in arrears and had never dipped below 1:16 barrier before so could Founds/Walmsley enjoy an easy weekend?

After a lengthy break the fourth round of the A.C.U. / F.S.R.A. British F2 Sidecar Championship took place over the weekend of the 28th / 29th July at the British version of Philip Island, namely Ty Croes, Anglesey, on the picturesque coastal circuit.

The fourth round of the A.C.U. / F.S.R.A. British Formula Two Sidecar Championship will be held with the Wirral 100 club this coming weekend at Anglesey. There has been a lengthy break since round three which took place at Mallory Park over the weekend of the 6th and 7th May. This was owing to the start of the road race season for sidecars. There has one less road meeting with this year's programme at Scarborough being cancelled (to date), but there was still the T.T. and the Southern 100 in which many F.S.R.A. teams compete.

Mallory Park produces a scorcher in more ways than one

Bank Holiday weekend 6th/7th May saw the third round of the A.C.U./F.S.R. A British Formula 2 sidecar championship at Mallory Park with E.M.R.A the host club in polar opposite weather conditions to the previous weekend at Cadwell Park. With the forecast to be the hottest Early May Bank Holiday on record it would be very tiring for all competitors in the searing heat and two x twenty lap races scheduled.

Mixed fortunes for Team ARC and new Championship leaders

(Steve-E here. Can I just say a public thank you to Mark for these reports and the race results, I don't know how he finds the time to cover everything so well)

This past weekend 28th/29th April saw the second round of the A.C.U./F.S.R.A British Formula 2 sidecar championship at Cadwell Park with Bemsee the hosting club.

A few of the registered teams took the opportunity to participate in the Friday afternoon test sessions in what could be considered Lake Cadwell. From around 10am on Friday morning it started to rain and it persisted until late in to Saturday evening.

This meeting welcomed 2014 British F2 Champion Gary Bryan with Phil Hyde as ballast and two French teams, namely the fastest all female sidecar team in TT history Estelle Leblond & Melanie Farnier and Remy Guignard & Frederic Poux.

The first round of the A.C.U. / F.S.R.A. British F2 Sidecar Championship took place over the weekend of the 7th and 8th April in contrasting conditions. Many teams took the opportunity of a couple of test sessions on Friday afternoon to familiarise themselves with the circuit, having not been there since 2016 - and for some it was their first visit.

The Fsra british f2 sidecar championship kicked off at Croft this weekend with the current f2 Cup Champion Mike Jackson and new passenger Harry Payne having a great weekend and coming away with a 5th & 6th, which placed them 5th overall in the Championship points. With the new championship rules stating that the top 6 from the race one result are to be reversed to set the grid for race 2, this put Mike & Harry on the front row for the first time, alongside Conrad Harrison & Andy Winkle. They were able to capitalise on this by out racing Conrad/Andy into turn one, and managing to lead a British Championship race for the first time, eventually losing out to some of the top teams.
