Thanks Eckart!

Round 3 of the Suzuki series at saw us at the iconic Cemetery Circuit for the 70th running of this event.
Stu and Barry feeling a bit happier to run the F1 sidecar round as there has been some resurfacing and significant bumps removed we went out for first practice to re-familiarise ourselves. Then came qualifying were we gained 1 good clear lap to get pole position. Race 1 was a great tussle with Adam and Bryce, we lead until a big sideways moment on turn one entering the last lap dropping us to second place over the finish line. Race 2 was also a great scrap again finishing up in second place. This however was enough to take the series win in the F1 class and a second place overall for the day on the Cemetery circuit.
Tracey and Jo also happy to see new surfacing on turn 1 and 2 especially with less of a bump going onto the back straight. It didn't take long for us to get in our groove and comfortably qualify 2nd F2 on grid. In race 1 we were passed by Bruce Roberts and Jim Bilby on their F2 off the start line which meant we got to hunt them down for a couple of laps before managing to get past them on the back straight and pulling a comfortable distance. Jo was a little nervous going into the day after an incident in the cemetery last year so after realising we had a comfortable lead we settled in and focused on finishing safely with a 2nd place. Unfortunately for race 2 the bike wouldn't start so we went out to watch and cheer our teamies on instead. Our beloved pit crew have it under control though and will be working hard on the bike this week to ensure it's ready for NZSBK Championship Round 1 in a couple of weeks time!
A successful Triseries for the Carl Cox Motorsport NZ Sidecar team team taking out 1st and 2nd respectively in field and 2nd and 3rd respectively for Cemetery Circuit. And to top it off, some awesome pictures as usual from our talented teamie at Mad Love Media to help us cherish the memories too! Another fantastic Christmas kiwi motorsport style, from our race family to yours we hope your Christmas was equally as fun and shared with loved ones!
