The 2024 Events calendar has been updated

We now have most of 2024 dates on. I have the French Championships to add and that will be about it.

We have World Championhip (as far as is confirmed), British, British FII, FSRA Pre Injection, BMCRC, CRMC, BHR, Isle of Man TT, S100 and Olivers Mount, Andreas, International Sidecar Trophy, Northern Sidecar Cup, IDM, Camathias Cup, Aintree, Darley, EMRA, Wirral 100, Scottish Championship with Marin Cup.
What have I missed? Maybe Tonfanau, will need to check.

Don’t forget that each event can be clicked on for information about the organisers and venue with links to each where possible, and you can select a list view, day view or my favourite the monthly overview.

If you DO spot any errors please don’t hesitate to get in touch and they will be corrected. There are 130 events listed so far, errors are likely to creep in and things will change as the season progresses.

R.I.P. Tim Langham, after a long illness and a brave fight in hospital.

At this time could we all please respect the family’s request for privacy.

TOM BIRCHALL ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

Tom Birchall, the most successful Sidecar passenger in TT history, has announced his immediate retirement from racing.

Alongside older brother Ben, the Birchalls have taken 14 TT race victories and been the dominant force on three wheels over the last decade, winning every single race that they finished since 2013 with only 3 DNF’s blotting a near-perfect run of results.

Over that period the pair have repeatedly re-written the record books, recording the first ever 117, 118, 119, and 120mph laps of the TT Course in the Sidecar class.

Superstock race due to go ahead this evening at 18:30. Once sidecar race has finished, roads will open except for the Mountain section. Roads to close again at 18:00

Increased Live Coverage of Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races

Southern 100 Racing, organisers of the Blackford Financial Services Pre-TT Classic Road Races are pleased to confirm that Manx Radio will be once again broadcasting live coverage of the opening event of the 2022 TT Festival from the Colas Billown Course commencing on Friday 27th May.

MARIA SMASHES SIDECAR PBs WITH STAND-IN PASSENGER GARY

Maria Costello MBE continues to improve in sidecar racing despite a stand-in passenger at the BMCRC-MRO Championship at Donington Park last weekend.
Looking to build on the previous meeting’s positive race results at Croft with the FSRA British Championship, the pairing of Maria and passenger Vicky were keen to return to Donington Park with increased confidence as they felt they had unfinished business there after a lacklustre event earlier in the year.

Passenger needed for ACU/FSRA British F2, Oliver’s Mount, and S100 (if it goes ahead of course)

John Lowther is looking for an experienced passenger to compete with him at this years A.C.U. / F.S.R.A. British F2 Championship events, the four Oliver’s Mount meetings, and – should it go ahead – the Southern 100 on the Isle of Man. (All obviously depending on the situation regarding the current pandemic – as things stand at the present time, the first British F2 event is scheduled for the weekend of 16-18 April at Brands Hatch).
