BHR August Update

August Update. On behalf of the BHR Committee from Mark Whittaker

Plans for 2021 season include our usual Test day at Mallory Park on the 19th March which, hopefully, will not be affected too much by ongoing pandemic requirements.

Likewise, during the lockdown the club officials have been working behind the scenes to put together a programme of meetings for us across the 2021 season. Venues include the circuits at; Anglesey, Cadwell Park, Darley Moor, Mallory Park and Pembrey. All of these have confirmed some dates for us plus some other circuits are in the mix pending confirmation of available dates.

The full 2021 programme will be published and made available once we have the details in place.
Whilst it has been a very challenging season financially, most of the circuits have been very reasonable and will roll over any deposits etc paid to next year so ensuring that we have a relatively secure footing for the 2021 season.

All of this is based on the presumption that we will be able to run race meetings under whatever guidance happens to be current next calendar year, so it could all change by then. Hopefully, though, the measures and precautions that we have had in place this year lead to more flexibility next year.

In the meantime we plan to hold our annual general meeting in November at the Mercure Daventry Court Hotel (open to any current member of the VMCC, admission by presenting your current membership card). As this depends on whatever government guidelines are in place then we will keep you updated nearer the time as to the format, practicalities and date.

Meanwhile, stay safe.
